Your PrestaShop shop email<\/strong> shows up in order alerts, customer messages, and the address shoppers see on the store. Changing it is rarely one field – Mail Alerts, the store record, contact form recipients, and theme modules can each hold a different address. This guide walks through those places in the order that usually fixes the wrong inbox first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

You set one address during installation. Later, when you switch domains, staff, or providers, PrestaShop may still send or display the old one until every relevant screen is updated. The paths below apply from PrestaShop 1.7 onward, including 8 and 9 – menu labels can shift slightly, but the ideas stay the same. Change where order alerts go (Mail Alerts)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If new-order emails still land in an old inbox, you are usually editing the native Mail Alerts<\/strong> module – not the main store email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to Modules \u2192 Module Manager<\/strong> and search for Mail Alerts<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Open Configure<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Find Email addresses<\/strong> (often near the bottom). Replace or add the address that should receive order notifications.<\/li>\n
  4. Save, place a test order in a private window, and confirm the new inbox.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Mail Alerts can hold several addresses. Keep only inboxes that should see every new order – leftover staff emails are a common leak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Update the main PrestaShop shop email (Stores)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The store email is the default shop identity: many emails to customers and modules that do not define their own address fall back to it. It is also often what themes print as \u201ccontact us\u201d unless overridden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Open Shop Parameters \u2192 Contact<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    2. Open the Stores<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n
    3. Edit the store and set the email field to your current address.<\/li>\n
    4. Save, then check a customer-facing email template or the contact block on the front office.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Changing this does not always rewrite Mail Alerts or contact-form recipients – treat those as separate checkboxes on your list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Fix contact-form recipient addresses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Messages from the contact form go to the contact you configure (Customer service, Webmaster, or custom contacts) – each can have its own email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2. Edit the contact customers choose in the form.<\/li>\n
      3. Update its email and save.<\/li>\n
      4. Send a test message from the storefront for each contact option you still offer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        When the address on the site still looks wrong<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        If the storefront still shows an old address after Stores and Contacts are correct, a theme or \u201ccontact\u201d module often hardcodes or caches its own field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
