In PrestaShop you can use maintenance mode for such purposes.<br \/>\nIt may be useful during initial website development or while updating etc.<\/p>\n<p>This article describes <strong>how to enable maintenance mode<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nTo activate the maintenance mode, you need to do the following:<\/p>\n<h4>In PrestaShop 1.5 \u0438 1.6<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>In PrestaShop Back Office go to the page <strong>Preferences >> Maintenance<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Set the switch &#171;<strong>Enable shop<\/strong>&#187; to &#171;<strong>No<\/strong>&#171;.<\/li>\n<li>Add your IP address to the allowed IPs list. You can do it either entering it manually or by pressing the button &#171;Add my IP&#187;.
